Much better than expected
Located within 20 min walking distance from central railway station, Red Lights district, Artis zoo + Micropia, yet a quiet place.
Very friendly, kind, helpful staff, even offering to fry/scramble eggs for breakfast.
Breakfast! We enjoyed such buffet even having experience with big hotels. Cheese, meat, vegetables, fruits, bread, croissant, coffee, tea, juice, milk, yoghurt, granola, oat, flakes, cookies, jam, butter, boiled eggs. Tasty and more than enough to fuel up for the first half of the day.
Hot drinks and some sweets are available at any time. There is also a small fridge with water, beer, wine, you are expected to just leave the money in the jar when you take something.
Apart from the room key you get the boat key so you can get in at any time.
Standard promo flyers for many local venues that give you discounts or gifts.
No discomfort from being a boat, never noticed not being on the hard ground.
Room:
The beds are comfortable.
We had 2 power sockets and also 3 USB sockets.
Temperature is adjustable: A/C, heating, small windows.
Hot water with no issues. Curtain for the shower. There was an own hairdryer in the room. We had 2 towels each.
Enough storage: you have a big crate under each bed, a big shelf, a shelf under the sockets, a wardrobe with hangers and a shelf, hooks for coats, and some more space on the floor.
Cozy wooden design and some pictures on the walls.
A glass for each of the guests, the tap water is said to be drinkable, we were fine with it.
Separate beds, maybe not so romantic, but understandable. You may actually squeeze together on one.
You may hear some snoring and squeaking floors, but totally was not an issue for us, we've met much worse even not on a boat. If you are too easily disturbed you probably already carry earplugs.
A bit steep stairs (15 steps?) down to the rooms, may be important for elderly etc., but I'm sure it's manageable.

Alex, the owner is very friendly and open to satisfy every request. Spend a day and a night moored at the harbor so close to everything was terrific. Great breakfast!!!

Excellent stay, loved it. Perfect balance between hotel and apartment. Excellent location.
Hotelboat Angeline was wonderful. Myself and a friend stayed for a night after getting the overnight ferry from Hull. It was brilliantly located close to the drop off point and really central, very close to the Nemo museum. Staff were so helpful and friendly, there was a brilliantly stocked tea and coffee station you can help yourself to at anytime and an honesty bar. We could leave our luggage before and after and we’re even welcomed back for a cup of tea and shelter from the rain before the coach time. It was a really relaxed place and the room itself was as you’d expect from a hotel boat- smaller than a regular hotel but much more spacious than I’d thought it would be. It was comfy and clean and the shower hot. The continental breakfast (with eggs cooked for you) was excellent. I would really recommend this to anyone who is looking for a brilliantly located, relaxed and homely place to stay, which is a bit different. We loved it.
It’s not that we didn’t like it, but there are steep steps down to the bedrooms which some may need to consider.
